The Asian Century Institute (London), the Foreign Policy Centre (London), the Centre for International Relations (Warsaw) and the World Security Institute (Brussels) jointly launched a new effort to mobilise states to work for the codification of new or emerging norms in international security law on a more consistent and coherent basis than exists at present through single issue approaches.

 

IRAN AND WAR? April 2006

As Iran and the US escalate their rhetoric in the stand-off over nuclear policy, there are danger signs that hostile feelings toward Iran are seriously clouding policy judgments. The US, and key allies such as the UK, must act on these signs and re-direct their diplomatic efforts accordingly. The risk of military confrontation, though still low, is increasing.
